Manhattan High School holds commencement

There were more than 500 graduates in the Class of 2025 at Manhattan High School. Commencement was held Sunday in Bramlage Coliseum.

This was the 111th commencement in MHS history. Principal Michael Dorst listed some class accomplishments including:

--More than 16,500 hours for the USD 383 service program

--Accumulating over 2.1 million in scholarships

--42 college classes at the high school with a combined total of 3,883 college credits earned.

Dorst told the graduates that they have been an active participant in shaping the sschool's culture. "You are good at doing hard things."

*Student speaker Jaymin Trojek touched on solidarity and unity, and advised the graduates not to forget their common goals and struggles. He added, "The past is a lesson, not a life sentence.
