Three Wamego police officers are recovering from minor injuries sustained overnight as they attempted to arrest a suspect at his home.

Eric Walsh had barricaded himself in the garage of his home in the 700 block of Adam Drive after officers had informed him of a warrant for his arrest. He eventually was detained after being pepper-sprayed and tased as officers served a search warrant granted hours earlier by a Pottawatomie County judge.

He could face multiple counts of battery, aggravated assault and interference with law enforcement officers and three of violating his probation. Walsh is being held in the Pottawatomie County Jail.

He has previous convictions for DUI. He has additional convictions for theft and criminal threat, according to the Kansas Department of Correction.
