Fire damages abandoned home in Randolph

RANDOLPH -Riley County Fire District #1 responded to the report of a structure fire in the 100 East Stockdale Lane in Randolph, Kansas.

When fire crews arrived on scene, the abandoned home was fully engulfed in fire.

Crews extinguished the fire and remained on scene until 3:00 am to make sure the remained contained to the initial property.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is undetermined.

Eleven volunteer firefighters and RCFD#1 personnel responded to the scene.

The property owners are listed as Richard, Monaghan, Thomas and Mary Jack. 

“Thanks to everyone who came out to this fire,” said Deputy Fire Chief Doug Russell. “We have a great crew of volunteers we can count on to help when they’re needed, even if the call comes in the middle of the night.”
