The Greater Manhattan Community Foundation (GMCF) has announced the latest recipients of the Ward & Brenda Morgan Community Grant, awarding a total of $72,881 to support projects that bring people together and provide meaningful support for vulnerable populations in the Manhattan and Riley County area.
.This grant cycle received 31 applications — the highest number submitted to date — highlighting the strong demand for funding and the impactful work being led by nonprofit organizations across the community.
“These grants reflect a shared commitment to strengthening our community in ways that bring people together and support those who need it most,” said Sarah Barrett, Vice President for Impact Strategy & Grant Programs. “Each project represents an opportunity to create connection, expand access, and improve quality of life for individuals and families across our region.”
Grants from the Ward & Brenda Morgan Community Fund are awarded to projects that align with the fund’s focus areas and are designed to provide meaningful, one-time support for impactful initiatives. Eligible projects must demonstrate clear community benefit and are typically awarded between $5,000 and $20,000.
Applications for the Ward & Brenda Morgan Community Grant are accepted twice annually, with the next application window scheduled for October 1–23, 2026.
