Marjorie A. Bowell, age 95, of Abilene, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2023 at the Village Manor Nursing Home in Abilene. She was born January 11, 1928 near Enterprise the daughter of Arthur and Alma (Staatz) Rissman.
On December 8, 1946 Marjorie was united in marriage to Gerald Bowell in Salina. Together they farmed all their lives Marjorie loved working in her flower garden raising beautiful flowers. She also enjoyed taking walks, reading, knitting, crocheting, and embroidering.
Marjorie is survived by her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Gerald, an infant brother, brothers Laurence and Verne Rissman, sister Dorothy Lee, and her parents.
The family of Marjorie has selected cremation and there will be no service. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dickinson County or to the Eisenhower Park Flower Garden and may be sent in care of the Marin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home 414 NW 3rd, Abilene, Kansas 67410.
