Fireworks and performances by the ZZ KC and the Rock Gods entertained an audience estimated by Freedom Fest JC organizers in Junction City at between 4,000 and 5,000 people.




The fireworks Saturday night were the first of two rounds for Freedom Fest JC. More are planned for Monday evening.
The Sunday lineup includes a community church service at 10 a.m. and concerts Sunday evening from Brandon Estelle at 6:30 p.m. and Rhett Walker at 8:30 p.m.
Sundown Salute is also under way this weekend in the Milford City Park. The concert lineup for Sunday evening includes country & western music including Queens of Country at 8 p.m. and Diamond Rio at 10 p.m.
