The City of Manhattan announced that a section of Anderson Avenue (from Connecticut Avenue to Timberline Drive) will close for concrete paving starting next Monday, June 8. Concrete work in this area is expected to continue for two weeks, depending on weather conditions.
No through traffic will be allowed on Anderson Avenue during this phase. Local traffic only. Drivers should use the detour route from Seth Child Road to Claflin Road to Sunset Avenue.
Anderson Avenue will be closed from June 8 to June 22.
Total Estimated Project Cost is $10,500,000.
The Anderson Avenue Waterline Improvements Project (WA1909) includes the replacement of the existing water line, portions of existing storm sewer and pavement on Anderson Ave, and adjacent side streets from Harris Ave to Connecticut Ave
