Both the Junction City Police and Geary County Sheriff's Office have been awarded a grant by the U.S. Department of Justice towards an officer wellness and operational readiness project.The grant of just over 18 thousand five-hundred dollars is part of 290 million dollars in federal funding received by nine cities and counties in the state, including Riley County.
Nearly 20 thousand dollars is being given to Riley for corrections employees to be set up with body worn cameras for when on duty.
