The City of Manhattan announced that the intersection of Denison Avenue and Kimball Avenue officially reopened fully on May 16, along with the rest of Denison Avenue to the south of Kimball.
Other than continuing landscaping work along these corridors and a small local closure of Kerr Drive, this reopening represents the end of the decade-long North Campus Corridor/Edge Collaboration District project.
The City of Manhattan would like to thank its partners — including Kansas State University, the Manhattan Fire Department, the National Bio and Agro-Defense Facility, Riley County, State of Kansas Economic Development, the Kansas Department of Transportation, K-State Athletics, and the KSU Foundation — and most of all, the residents of and visitors to Manhattan who have patiently endured this construction project since it first began in 2013.
