Christopher Nigel “Chris” Grimshaw, age 68, of Roswell, Georgia, died April 9, 2021.
He was born October 31. 1953, in Leeds, England, the son of Jack Hall and Francis M. “Peggy” (Appleyard) Grimshaw, and has been a resident of Roswell, Georgia, since August 1993.
Chris earned his Physics Degree from Imperial College in London, England.
He was the IT manager for an airline since 1983.
He was the Pope High School Fencing Team Manager and was also the Georgia High School Fencing League tournament director. He was a longtime volunteer at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Marietta, Georgia.
He was married to Anne E. “Beth” Spurlock in April 1989, in Kansas City, Missouri. Beth survives of the home in Roswell, GA. Additional survivors include their two children: Mary Renee’ Grimshaw of Matthews, SC, and Michael Andrew Grimshaw of Atlanta, GA; two siblings: Andrew Phillip Grimshaw and his wife Alison of Leeds, England, and Alison Mary Grimshaw of St. Louis, MO.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 24th, at Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Manhattan, KS, with Father Ryan McCandless as Celebrant. Inurnment will follow in the Sunset Cemetery in Manhattan. A luncheon will follow at Seven Dolors.
