John Lee Hynes Sr.

John Lee Hynes Sr. was born June 12, 1944 in Rock Island, Illinois to Richard and Genevieve (Surr) Hynes. On August 09, 1962 John married Judith Ann Cottrell in Davenport, Iowa.

John spent his life as a truck driver and industrial worker with over fourty years of employment with the Western Structural Company. John enjoyed fishing, gardening and spent time coaching little league baseball with his wife Judy. John was a great family man and enjoyed hosting family gathering at his house. John spent many years as a member of the Lions Club. In 2019 John moved to Junction City, Kansas with his son and daughter-in-law Joel and Mary Hynes.

John is survived by his daughter, Jody (Rodney) Beaston of Moline, Illinois. His two brothers, Richard (Wanda) Hynes of Moline, Illinois and Robert Hynes Indianapolis, Indiana. A sister in-law Sharon Hynes of Newport Richie, Florida and one brother in- law Douglas Stufflebean of East Moline, Illinois. his four grandchildren Daniel Beaston, Tyler (Danielle) Hynes, Aislinn Ague, Kalee Beaston. John had two great- grandsons, John Hynes and Noah Hynes and his many nieces and nephews.

John was preceeded in death by his wife of 53 years, Judy Hynes; two sons, John Hynes Jr, Joel Hynes; parents, Richard and Genevieve; two sisters, Karen and Mary; and brother David.
