RILEY COUNTY — Riley County Fire District #1 has announced the appointment of Jake Konrardy as the new Deputy Chief of Administration. Konrardy, who began his role in August, has been a volunteer with the department since 2018 and brings experience, practical knowledge, and leadership skills to his new position.

As the Deputy Chief of Administration, Konrardy is responsible for managing the department's administrative duties, responding to emergency incidents, and assuming command and control when necessary. These response duties are shared with Deputy Chief of Operations Doug Russell and Fire Chief Russel Stukey. In addition to these responsibilities, Konrardy manages records and associated reporting, serves as the code enforcement officer, and assists with budget preparation, expense tracking, and the development and implementation of district policies and procedures.
