
There were no injuries but damage from a Monday afternoon apartment fire at 1300 Marlatt Ave. in Manhattan, but the loss was estimated at $15,000 to the contents and $25,000 to the structure. According to the Manhattan Fire Department the residents were not home at the time of the fire.
Upon arrival, crews found a two-story apartment building with a fire on the first floor. Crews entered the apartment and searched the building. The fire was extinguished within five minutes.
The building is a two-story, eight-unit apartment building. The two residents were displaced. Country Meadows Residences, L.C. was listed as the owner. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
