Karen Louise Kamm of rural Talmage passed away January 4th, 2024 at her home.
Karen was born the daughter of William Floyd Mustard and Golda (Jolitz) Mustard in Salina, Kansas on March 3, 1948.Karen married James L. Kamm July 2, 1968 in Talmage, KS. Nearly all of their married life was spent in the Talmage area. Karen was a devoted farm wife, and mother, helping where needed on the farm while also raising greyhounds. Karen loved spending time outdoors, especially with James out at the lake. Karen loved sewing and woodworking projects and prided herself on being a do it yourself person, loving the challenges that came from those projects. Karen’s real love in life were her grandchildren. She loved attending sporting events, 4-H activities, and watching the kids; instilling the same do it yourself attitude in them.
Karen is survived by her daughter Tanya (Mark) Hagedorn of Talmage and a sister Rita Morgan of Wichita, KS. Three grandchildren Jacob ( Holley) Hagedorn, Abilene, Hannah Hagedorn, Lawrence, Jessica Hagedorn, Manhattan and Brayden Kamm of Warrensburg, MO, and great grandson Braxton Hagedorn. Karen was preceded in death by her husband James Kamm, son Travis Kamm and brother Marvin Mustard.
Honoring Karen’s wishes, the family has chosen cremation and there will be no services. Memorials may be made to the Braxton Hagedorn education fund in care of Danner Funeral Home 501 N. Buckeye. Abilene, KS 67410
