RENO COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a stabbing and have a suspect in custody.
Just after 11:30p.m. Friday, officers were called to the hospital, where 52-year-old Brian Dailey of Gardner was being treated for four stab wounds to his midsection, according to Hutchinson Police Lt. Dustin Loepp. The injuries are considered non-life-threatening.
Police say a fight broke out at 514 West 5th Avenue in Hutchinson between Dailey and 31-year-old Bryce Baker of Manhattan.
In addition to Dailey's stabbing, tires were also cut on a vehicle belonging to 36-year-old Evin Crome of Manhattan. Baker fled the area. Dailey was taken to the hospital.
Baker was later found in a garage at 514 West 5th Street where he had returned and a window was broken on Crome's vehicle to obtain Baker's property. Baker then forced entry into the garage owned by an acquaintance, 35-year-old Billy Joe Womack of Hutchinson.
Police arrested Baker on requested charges of aggravated battery, criminal damage to property and criminal trespassing.
