City of MHK announces Aaron Stewart as new Parks & Rec Director

MANHATTAN - City of Manhattan, City Manager, Ron Fehr announced Aaron Stewart as the City's new Parks and Recreation Director.

Stewart currently serves as the Parks and Recreation Director for the City of Garden City, and is anticipated to start with the city of Manhattan on April 17.

Stewart will replace retired Parks and Recreation Director, Eddie Estes, who retired in May 2022.

As Parks and Recreation Director, Stewart will oversee the city's park facilities, recreation centers, pools, an ice rink, an animal shelter, Sunset Zoo, and the Flint Hills Discovery Center.

“We are pleased to have Aaron join our team,” Fehr said. “Aaron has great experience and enthusiasm, which will serve him well in this position.”
