RCPD reports burglary of guns from Manhattan home

RILEY COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a burglary in Manhattan.

Just before 8p.m. Friday, officers filed a report for burglary in the 800 block of Fremont Street in Manhattan, according to the Riley County Police Department activity report.

A 43-year-old man reported an unknown suspect broke into his home and stole a Ruger AR-15, a Sig Sauer AR-15, a 308 Aero Precision rifle, a 22 Ruger rifle, a 9 mm Springfield handgun, and a Benelli M4 semi-automatic shotgun.

The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $10,000.00. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.00.
