George Milton Blomberg, 77, of Hiawatha, KS died on January 19, 2024. He was born in Concordia, KS in 1946 to Bernice and Oliver Blomberg and graduated high school from Concordia High School.
George worked many jobs the most memorable were Kansas National Guard, GT in Clay Center as well as in Osborne, Russel Stover in Abilene, and Clay County School District. He retired from there and moved to Hiawatha and worked at Pederson Seed part-time.
George was proceeded in death by his parents Oliver and Bernice, son, Wesley, brother, Ard, granddaughter, Shandy, and great-grandson, Ezekiel Roberson. He is survived by his wife Karen, daughter, Donna Bryant, son, Andy (Wendy) Pederson, daughter, Dana (Andy) Tucker, George Brian (Ginny) Blomberg, Brian (Rachel) Pederson. He found great joy in his, 16 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
The visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 24th in Hiawatha, KS at First United Methodist Church (410 Hiawatha Ave, Hiawatha, KS 66434) from 5-7 p.m.
The funeral will be in Clay County at Mizpah United Methodist Church (1429 6th Road, Wakefield KS, 67487) on Saturday the 27th at 11:00 a.m.
There will be a visitation held one hour prior to the service. Casual dress is requested.
