Linda L. (Schmidt) Morton, 74, of Abilene, KS passed away September 17, 2023, at Abilene Memorial Hospital.

She was born on February 19, 1949, Fairbury, NE to William and Betty (Liesenfeld) Schmidt.Linda was a graduate of Abilene High School, class of 1967. In 1990 she received an associate degree in accounting at Park's Business College, Denver, CO. She worked for Ryerson Steel for many years and moved back to Abilene to be closer to her dad. She was a member of St. Andrews Catholic Church.Over the years Linda enjoyed staying physically fit, bicycling, walking, and playing softball. She even experienced skydiving, and scuba diving. She loved photography, scrap booking, and endless hours of Sodoku. Linda loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren and was so proud of them all. Linda was known as the Teddy Bear Grandma! She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She was married to Ralph Morton, he survives. ther survivors include her Daughter, Sabrina Holland of Abilene, KS; Three Sons, Matthew J. Anguiano of Fort Lupton, CO, Justin M. (Kristine) Anguiano of Elkhorn, NE, Sean A. Conway of Denver, CO; Sister, Patricia (Mike) Holt of Abilene, KS; Three Brothers, Norman (Vickie) Schmidt of Abilene, KS, Douglas Schmidt, Chris Schmidt; Five Granddaughters, Jessica Whyte of St. Louis, MO, Samantha Anguiano of St. Louis, MO, Regan Anguiano of Chicago, IL, Tevaney Conway of Erie, CO, Kaianna Hagan of Nampa, ID, Lynda (Jordan) Riebel of Lonetree, CO; Three Grandsons, Tristan Anguiano of Omaha, NE, Samuel Holland of Abilene, KS, Greg Fogle of South Park, CO; Great-Grandson, Lucas Hagan of Nampa, ID. he was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial mass will be held, Saturday, September 30, 2023, 10:00 a.m. at St. Andrews Catholic Church.  Inurnment will follow at Union Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at St. Andrews Parish Hall. Memorial contributions may be given to, Kids in Crisis, St. Andrew's Catholic School, Community Dinner, and Parents without Partners.
