With increased COVID mitigation efforts now in place, USD 383 is confirming that K-12 on-site learners may return to school five days per week beginning Tuesday, January 5, 2021.

Superintendent of Schools Dr. Marvin Wade said that the district has altered schedules, reconfigured building spaces, increased staff, and added protective equipment. Modifications have been made to maximize social distancing in common spaces such as lunchrooms, and the majority of elementary and secondary classes will have 20 or fewer students. Specific information about USD 383’s next phase of reopening will be provided by your child’s school, including schedules for middle school and high school students.

Following a review of metrics, mitigation measures implemented by USD 383 and other community factors, Medical Advisory expressed conditional support for on-site learners returning to school five days per week starting January 5. The condition is that schools be prepared to rapidly change instructional delivery if district and community factors indicate a change is warranted.

All bus routes will change over winter break. Please call transportation at 785-587-2190 on January 4th for updates, or log on to e-link at: https://vtportal.usd383.org/ elinkrp/Login.aspx. Masks are required to ride the school bus and social distancing will be followed to the best of the district's ability.
