City of Manhattan
Kissick Construction, in conjunction with McCown Gordon and the City of Manhattan, began Phase 2A of the Aggieville/North Manhattan Avenue Improvements Project on Wednesday.
During this phase, North Manhattan will be closed from Moro Street north through the intersection with Little Moro for water line installation (orange shaded area).
West Laramie Street will reopen from 14th Street to North Manhattan to allow for access onto Moro Street. Primary access to the Aggieville Garage still will be from 14th Street via West Laramie, but traffic will be temporarily able to leave and proceed east.
North Manhattan Avenue will remain closed both ways between the two Laramie Street intersections, as well as closed to northbound traffic from Fremont to East Laramie (yellow areas). Please see map above for detour routing (red arrows).
Expect moderate traffic and some delays. Alternate routes and detours are recommended above.
The contractor estimates at least one week for water line installation to be complete.
