John R. Metsch, age 90, of Manhattan, died December 27, 2023.

He was born on October 30, 1933, the son of John T. and Ethel Metsch.

John served in the United States Army after he graduated high school.&nbsp; He was proud of his service time to his country.&nbsp; John earned his rank of CW4 and retired from the army while stationed at Fort Riley.

Graveside services for John will be held on Friday January 5, 2024 at 1:30p.m. at the Kansas Veterans' Cemetery at Fort Riley in Manhattan.

The Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home, 1616 Poyntz Avenue, Manhattan, Kansas 66502, is assisting the family with the service arrangements.
