TOPEKA — Gov. Laura Kelly today announced appointments to the following state boards and committee.&nbsp;

Purpose: To license and regulate certified public accountants (CPA’s). The Board of Accountancy is a regulatory body authorized to carry out the laws and administrative regulations governing CPA’s. The board is disciplinary and has the authority to conduct investigations.

State Board of Technical Professions

Purpose:&nbsp;&nbsp;Registers and licenses engineers, architects, surveyors, and landscape architects.

Capitol Preservation Committee

Purpose of Board:&nbsp; Approve all proposals for renovation of all areas of the state capitol, the capitol's visitor center and the grounds surrounding the capitol; preserve the proper décor; assure art or artistic displays are historically accurate; oversee the reconfiguration or redecoration of committee rooms.
