There has been a change involving the leadership at the Geary County Convention & Visitor's Bureau.
Commissioner Alex Tyson confirmed Wednesday morning that following an executive session on Tuesday, CVB Director Donna Price is no longer with the County. He did not elaborate on details.
Price has served as CVB Director for approximately three years. After learning that she would no longer be employed by the County, Price said that it's a great time for her to go back into retirement, and to spend more time together with her husband as empty nesters.
Attempts have been made to contact Geary County Commissioners Trish Giordano and Keith Ascher but they have not yet been reached.
Rick Dykstra, a Marketing Specialist with the CVB, remains on the staff.
