TOPEKA, Kan. — More than 230 tourism attractions across Kansas will offer free admission to Kansas families this summer through the 2026 Sunflower Summer program.

Lt. Gov. and Kansas Secretary of Commerce David Toland and Kansas Tourism announced the list of participating attractions this week. The program is open to Kansas residents with school-aged children from pre-K through 12th grade.

The 2026 Sunflower Summer program will run from July 9 through Aug. 2. During that time, Kansas students and one accompanying adult can receive free one-time admission to each participating attraction.

Passes can be claimed through the Sunflower Summer app and redeemed at participating attractions upon arrival.

“Sunflower Summer has been a great way for Kansas families to fall in love with our great state — and everything it has to offer,” Toland said. “Whether it’s visiting a museum, exploring a historic site or spending the day at the zoo — these experiences help families connect to the state we all love and admire.”

This year’s list includes museums, historic sites, zoos, state parks, art galleries and other family-friendly destinations across the state.

Several attractions in the Hutchinson area are included, including the Cosmosphere, STRATACA, the Hutchinson Zoo, Sand Hills State Park, Hedrick Exotic Animal Farm, and the Kansas Wetlands Education Center near Great Bend.

Other participating attractions include Exploration Place, Botanica Wichita, Sedgwick County Zoo, the Eisenhower Presidential Library, Museum and Boyhood Home, Rolling Hills Zoo, the Kansas State Capitol Visitor Center, Boot Hill Museum and Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Sunflower Summer back so that Kansas families can really experience their home state in an entirely new way,” Kansas Tourism Director Bridgette Jobe said. “From iconic attractions to our hidden gems, this year truly showcases the depth and diversity of experiences across the state.”
