Bradford Leo Rauch, formerly of Holyoke, CO, passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 9, 2022 at the age of 71 in his new home in Oshkosh, NE. Brad was born on August 28, 1950 in Concordia, KS to Carman and Mary Alice Rauch and was the eldest of 6 children.
Brad grew up in Miltonvale, KS, Kansas City, Kansas and Kansas City, MO and graduated high school from North Kansas City High School in 1968. After attending college at UMKC, he enlisted in the US Army and served during the Vietnam War as a communications expert. After his time in the army, Brad lived in Springfield, OR, where he worked for the US Forestry Service and married Frances Laflin of Clay Center, KS. Brad and Fran then moved to Minneapolis, KS, where Brad went on to work for Ottawa County Feeders before finding his long-term position with Timmerman & Son’s feedlot in Atwood, CO.
Brad enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, spending time with friends, but most of all being with his grandkids. He had a special bond with each of them.
Brad is survived by his children Levi (Allison) Rauch of Oshkosh, NE and Sara (Jason) Heermann of Imperial, NE, grandchildren, Madie Rauch of Oshkosh, NE, Sean Heermann, Ashlyn Heermann, and Dylan Heermann all of Imperial, NE., parents Larry and Mary Mancini of Tulsa, OK and siblings, Kimberly (Steve) Knapp of Tulsa, OK, Mark Rauch (Dennis Creedon) of Oklahoma City, OK, and Craig Rauch (Greg Byers) of Oklahoma City, OK. He also has 4 nieces and 4 nephews.
Brad is preceded in death by his father, Carman Rauch, his brother Pat Rauch, sister Viki Lyn Rauch, wife Frances Rauch, and daughter Angela Rauch.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday March 17, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. with a viewing beforehand at 9:00am in Clay Center, KS at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home. A Celebration of life will be held on Sunday March 27, 2022 at the Sunset View Community Center in Holyoke, CO at 1:00 p.m.
