The Street Division started Sunday morning about 5am to begin treatment of the primary roadways with salt and calcium chloride. Road temperatures started out around 1 degree F and slowly warmed up during the afternoon. The chemical treatment of primary roadways has made those treated routes passable with wet pavement conditions.
The City said Water Distribution Crews started Sunday morning around 8am with the first water main break in the 500 block of Oakdale Drive. As of 3pm Sunday afternoon the water main break was been repaired and water service was restored to residents in that subdivision. Residents can expect temporary traffic control to be in place with temporary road surface material until weather is conducive to make a more permeant patch to the road in coming weeks.
Water Distribution Crews worked a second water main break in the 2600 block of College Heights Road.
