April was a tough month. Riley County Fire District #1 posted via social media that the men and women who serve as volunteer firefighters are exhausted after answering 103 calls for service in 30 days.
They worked to protect lives, property, and land. Thank you seems like a small thing to say, but it carries with it all the relief, hope, and gratitude of the community you helped keep safe. We are grateful for your dedication and we're proud to serve with you. Thank you for everything you do.
