Just before 2 a.m. on Sunday, a Riley County officer was on routine patrol when he saw a white 1997 Acura Integra turn the wrong way on Laramie Street in Manhattan.

The officer flashed the patrol car's lights and siren but the car did not stop. In fact, the officer had to back his vehicle out of the way to prevent the suspect from hitting the patrol car.

Police reports say that the suspect fled the area after the officer activated the emergency signals, turning and racing north on Juliet Street.

After losing sight, RCPD officers patrolled the area, eventually spotting the vehicle heading east on Allen Road near Tuttle Creek Boulevard.

Patrols finally located the vehicle in the 300 block of Holly Place. After an extensive search RCPD officers were unable to locate the suspect.

The vehicle was impounded and authorities are seeking a 27-year-old male suspect for eluding a law enforcement officers.
