The City issued a social media release saying that 12th Street in Manhattan will be closed to through traffic at the Houston Street intersection starting Monday, October 7, southwest of City Hall. East-west traffic on Houston will be unaffected by this closure and will be able to access 12th Street to the south.
To access City Hall diagonal parking on the east side of 12th Street, please use South Manhattan Avenue to enter the alley between Houston Street and Poyntz Avenue. This closure is expected to last for about a week while the Street Division works to repair recurring potholes at the intersection.
