Charles Ray “C. R.” Patrick, 46, of Wamego, Kansas, passed away on Monday (July 3, 2023) at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka, Kansas.
Born March 17, 1977 in Vincennes, Indiana, C. R. was the son of Steven Wayne and Pamela Raye Stiemel Patrick. He married Lee Ann Roe on July 4, 2001 in Korea. She survives.
An outdoor enthusiast, C. R. enjoyed fishing and was an avid hunter of all types of fowl, especially duck hunting. He also enjoyed gaming, spending time with his friends on his X Box. C. R. and Lee Ann loved traveling the world together.
C. R. served his country for 22 years in the U. S. Army, retiring as a First Sergeant. During his career, he had deployments in Bosnia, Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan.
Survivors include his wife, Lee Ann; two children, Sean Patrick of Wamego and Kianna McGregor (Tristan) of Littleton, CO; his mother, Pamela Raye Patrick of Washington, IN; two sisters in law, Libra Houser of Marysville, WA and Carla Melindez (Lino) of Waco, TX; several nephews; and his beloved service dog, Stevie.
C. R. was preceded in death by his father, Steven Wayne; and his niece, Elizabeth Houser.
Memorial services will be held Monday afternoon (July 24, 2023) at 1:30 p.m. at Campanella & Stewart Funeral Home in Wamego. Military Honors will be performed by the U. S. Army Funeral Honors Detail and the Wamego American Legion Post No. 172 following the services at the funeral home.
The family will meet with friends on Monday afternoon (July 24, 2023) from Noon until the time of services at the funeral home in Wamego.
