Meet & greet for MHK Parks & Rec Director candidates on 3/6

MANHATTAN - The final four candidates for the City of Manhattan Parks and Recreation Director will participate in a public forum on Monday, March 6 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

The City of Manhattan partnered with Strategic Government Resources complete a nationwide search which narrowed the candidates down from 43 to the final 4.

Assistant Director Wyatt Thompson has been filling the position of director in the interim, following the retirement of former director, Eddie Estes in May of 2022.

Candidates will give opening remarks starting at 5:30 p.m. and then mingle with community members in an informal setting.

“We’re excited to introduce these qualified candidates and to receive input and feedback from the public prior to making our final selection,” said Deputy City Manager Jason Hilgers, who will supervise the new director.

The candidates, in alphabetical order by last name are: Raymond Dunham, Matthew Enoch, Jeremy Rogers and Aaron Stewart. Short biographies of each candidate have been provided by the City of Manhattan, and can be found here.
