MANHATTAN - Kansas State University has been recognized again as being a military friendly school for both military members and their spouses.
Each year, the Military Friendly Schools list is created based on research of public data sources from more than 8,800 schools across the country, input from student veterans and responses to the Military Friendly Schools surveys.
In March of 2023, Kansas State University received a Gold Award designation as a Military Friendly School, and has been ranked No. 6 in Military Spouse Friendly School within the Tier 1 research institution category.
"As the first functioning land-grant university, Kansas State has served military-connected students since 1863," said Dominic Barnes, Fort Riley and military student services coordinator at K-State. "We proudly host the largest military-connected student population in the state of Kansas. This designation highlights our traditions and future in service to those who have served."
