Judy Lynn Cox, 51, of Manhattan, Kansas, passed away on April 9, 2026, after a courageous journey with cancer, surrounded by the love of her family.

Judy was, above all else, a devoted mother. She was most proud of her three daughters, whom she considered her greatest accomplishment and the center of her life. Her family was what mattered most to her, and she carried that love into every part of who she was.

She will be remembered for her humor, her strength, and the many good times she shared with the people she loved. Judy wanted to be remembered fully and honestly: for her joyful days, her lively spirit, the laughter and friendships that shaped her life, and especially her everyday dedication as a mother. She believed her legacy lives on through the way she raised her children and the love she gave so freely.

Judy also spoke often about her deep love for her granddaughter, Vada Zimmermann, and wished she had more time with her. She encouraged those she loved to care for their health and to stay connected to one another.

She is survived by her daughters, McKenzie Zimmermann, Kennedy Cox, and Conner Peters; her granddaughter, Vada Zimmermann; her mother, Linda Andrews; and extended family and friends who will continue sharing her stories and carrying her memory forward.

A public celebration of Judy’s life will be held at 10:00a.m. Saturday April 18, 2026 at JC Naz Church, 1025 S Washington  in Junction City, Kansas. A private memorial gathering for close friends and family will follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation in Judy’s honor.

She asked to be remembered simply as herself, and for the love and good times she shared with the people closest to her.
