MANHATTAN, KS – kstate CREDIT UNION has presented a check for $6020 to Katie’s Way. These funds were raised during kstate CREDIT UNION’s annual employee jeans donation charity program which allows Credit Union employees to wear jeans at work throughout the year, in exchange for a $5 charitable donation per day. They can choose to donate in a lump sum or have the money payroll deducted. Employees select a local organization to receive the proceeds from this year-long program.
LaRae Kraemer, President/CEO for kstate CREDIT UNION said, “I am always amazed at the employee participation in the program each year! Our team loves to wear jeans. This charitable program has raised a lot of money over the years, mostly because our employees truly enjoy donating to a cause and helping in our community.”
Katie’s Way is a mental health care clinic dedicated to providing personalized care for individuals including psychotherapy and psychiatry. They emphasize a team-based approach in a non-institutional environment, aiming to make personal connections.
Jack Hess, Facility Director for Katie's Way said, "We are so honored to be selected as this year’s recipient of the donations from the employee jeans program. We want to thank the KState Credit Union and their team for supporting our community and behavioral health services.
