The City of Manhattan has announced that their first shift of Public Works road crews reported for duty at 8 a.m. Saturday. They began by loading their trucks so they are ready to respond to potential ice accumulations that are projected to develop. They will continue to treat roads as necessary throughout the day, taking extra precautions with gameday traffic for the K-State women's basketball game.
Conditions are predicted to change over to a wintry mix Saturday of freezing drizzle and sleet, as well as snow. By tonight into Sunday, the dominant mode should be mainly snow.
