Connie L. Kemp, 75 passed away Monday, April 17, 2023, at a Topeka Hospital.

Connie was born March 23, 1948, in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of William and Ruth Prichard Eichman.  She was raised in Wakefield, Wamego, and Topeka, graduating from Seaman High School in 1965.

Connie worked for Southwestern Bell in Topeka for many years.  After retiring she was a day care provider for many years. She owned and operated North Shore Restaurant at Lake Wabaunsee and was a Dollar General manager for several years.  Connie worked at the Eskridge Market and most recently was a transportation specialist for USD #330.  Connie was active in the Eskridge community.  She served on the city council, PTA and was a member of the Eskridge Chamber.  She served on the Eskridge Labor Day Rodeo Committee for 15 years. She enjoyed baking and was well known for her baked goods. 

On April 29, 1983, she and Richard Kemp were united in marriage in Alma.  Richard preceded her in death on April 11, 2011.  Connie was also preceded in death by her father in 1979, and a sister Pat Martin in 1981.

Survivors include her children, Quinton (Kara) Kemp, Derby, and Corey (Kyle) Maddox, Eskridge; her mother, Ruth Eichman, Taunton, MA; a sister Karen Sylvia, Buzzard Bay, MA; four grandchildren, McKenna, Addison, and Gunner Maddox, and Kate Kemp.

Visitation will be from 1:00 until 3:00 P.M. Saturday, April 22, 2023, at the Wabaunsee County Fire Department #5 Lake Wabaunsee Location.
