The Manhattan City Commission has upgraded its Tuesday, March 25 work session to a special meeting in order to hold an executive session to receive privileged information on a legal matter in consultation with the City Attorney.
Prior to that, though, commissioners will discuss a number of important topics:
- First, the City Commission will receive an update on Fake Patty’s Day from the Riley County Police Department.
- Then they will discuss the possible adoption of an ordinance to establish boundaries for a Common Consumption Area in Downtown Manhattan.
- There will be a discussion with the Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce regarding its Economic Growth Plan strategy.
- The commissioners also will discuss possible performance metrics with the Chamber of Commerce.
- Finally, the open meeting will wrap up with Visit Manhattan’s first quarter update
