Posted Aug 06, 2024 2:53 PM

Starting Wednesday, August 7, Ebert Construction will begin repairing and resurfacing Anderson Avenue from Seth Child Road/K-113 to Wreath Avenue.

The City of Manhattan said that this full-depth replacement work is expected to last through late autumn 2024.

There is no detour and one-lane traffic will be maintained in both directions at all times. Drivers should expect some disruptions as various drive entrances are closed for repairs. Access to local businesses will be maintained throughout the project.

Also, Shilling Construction will continue milling operations this week on Anderson Avenue/Bluemont Avenue from 11th Street to Harris Drive. The next 2 weeks will see concrete repairs on Anderson and Bluemont, followed by paving and pavement marking. This work is expected to last through at least Friday, August 16.

Anderson and Bluemont will not be closed during this work, but there will continue to be shifting lane closures throughout the work zone, so watch signage carefully to be aware of possible changes as you drive through the affected sections.

Timeline:The estimate is about 4-5 months to complete reconstruction work on Anderson Avenue from Seth Child Road to Wreath Avenue, depending on weather.

The estimate is about 2 more weeks to complete asphalt work on Anderson Avenue/Bluemont Avenue, depending on weather.
