(JUNCTION CITY, KS) All are invited to Family Fun & Fit Day on Friday, June 6 from 9 am to Noon at Playground Park – 5th & Eisenhower in Junction City.
The event is free and open to the public. Family Fun-n-Fit Day will promote community events and resources, offer fun family fitness activities, inspire healthy choices for all ages, and encourage safety awareness.
Attendees will find more than 35 community organizations with games, crafts, information, and a fitness activity area. A free lunch for all kids – while supplies last – is provided by Live Well Geary County.
New this year: Konza Prairie Community Health Center will offer vaccines on-site for youth aged 4-18. Insured or not – there is no out-of-pocket cost for immunizations. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian with ID to receive vaccines. Bring your child’s insurance card and shot records if you have them.
“Whether you’re new to the community or have been here a while, this event is a great opportunity for families to learn what’s available,” said Shannon Rosauer, Konza Community Outreach Coordinator. “There are so many great ways to stay active, get healthy, and be involved in the community and we’re glad to help make these connections,” she said.
