Both eastbound lanes of Bluemont Avenue will be closed at the intersection with North Manhattan Avenue, starting at 2:30 am on Tuesday, August 23rd.
Both lanes will be closed until approximately 6:30 am to allow crews to pour concrete at the south side of the intersection.
During the closure, eastbound traffic from Anderson Avenue will be detoured south on 14th Street to Poyntz Avenue, while westbound traffic will be unaffected.
Southbound traffic on North Manhattan Avenue will be detoured onto Vattier Street.
When the crews complete the concrete pouring, eastbound travel will be reopened in the northern, left eastbound lane.
The concrete will take until Friday, August 27th to cure, then crews will add a new 2-inch asphalt overlay on top of the concrete base.
Bluemont Avenue is expected to reopen all eastbound lanes by the weekend.
The Aggieville Garage remains open and accessible from 14th Street.
The public parking lot north of Laramie Street will remain open and accessible from 12th Street.
The North Manhattan Avenue closure continues between Laramie and Moro Streets.
