Manhattan, Kan. – The Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce has recognized Vern Henricks as the 2024 C. Clyde Jones Volunteer of the Year. This award was presented during the Chamber’s Annual Meeting on February 7 at the Manhattan Conference Center.
Named in honor of C. Clyde Jones, a longtime Manhattan resident and the first dean of Kansas State University’s College of Business, this award celebrates individuals who exemplify outstanding commitment to volunteerism and community service. Henricks becomes the 36th recipient of this distinguished honor.
A dedicated development professional and consultant, Henricks has spent his career helping organizations grow and thrive. His extensive leadership experience includes roles such as:

- Assistant Athletic Director & Head Baseball Coach – Fort Hays State University (KS)
Henricks earned both his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Kansas State University, building a foundation for his impactful career in development and fundraising. His ability to cultivate meaningful relationships and drive philanthropic success has benefited numerous institutions and communities throughout his career.
Beyond his professional achievements, Henricks has dedicated his time and expertise to supporting the Manhattan community through various volunteer roles, making a profound impact on local organizations and initiatives.
