William "Bill" Malcolm, 74, died October 15, 2023, at Stormont Vail Hospital, Topeka KS.  He was born January 14, 1949, in Wichita, KS to Jack M. and Marjorie E. Malcolm.  Bill graduated from Wichita South High School in 1967.  He pursued his college education at Wichita State University then went on to complete his Law Degree at Washburn Law School, Topeka, KS.  He had a very successful Law Practice in Clay Center, KS.  Later in his career, he was retained for 2 terms as a Magistrate Judge in Clay and Riley County.  Bill was a very honorable, respected, and dedicated Judge in which he took a great amount of pride!  He was a compassionate man who viewed life through the lens of fairness and truth.  He had an enthusiasm for conversation.  Not only did he love to talk and share his time and opinions with others, but he had an amazing gift of listening.  He always carried a sense of humor with him and laughed easily.   Bill found joy in simple things, especially hunting, fishing, and gardening.  He also was very proud to be a K-State football and basketball fan.  Bill was proceeded in death by his parents Jack and Marjorie Malcolm.  Bill will be sorely missed by all his family, friends, colleagues, and community!

He is survived by:

Son: Todd Malcolm of Marion, and his children Casey and Chase

Son: Zachary Malcolm of Manhattan, and his wife Jennifer, grandchildren Asher & Molly

Daughter: Vanessa Navarro, her husband Tony and children Brendan and Brant Rudacille     

Sister: Mary Gengler of Iola, and her daughter Tina and her husband Drew Sollars and their children Julia and Fred

Sister: Pamela Klos of Wichita, her son Andrew and his wife Ally, their children Connor & Coleson        

Visitation will be held from 2-5 p.m., Sunday, October 22 at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home in Clay Center

A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
