The City of Manhattan is preparing a Historic Preservation Plan. During the planning process, staff will identify buildings, places, and cultural assets worthy of preservation and protection. They also will determine historic preservation’s role in development within the City and determine actionable goals and initiatives to guide future preservation decisions in Manhattan.
The City said if you have questions or want to learn more about the Historic Preservation Plan they want to hear from you. They have two upcoming public engagement opportunities on Wednesday, February 26 in the City Commission Room at City Hall — a morning session at 8:30 a.m. and an afternoon session at 4 p.m. Or you can email us with your comments at [email protected] or check out the Historic Preservation Plan’s project page at https://engagemksk.mysocialpinpoint.com/manhattan-kansas....
