KHP tickets driver traveling 100 MPH in I-70 Construction Zone in Junction City

In a social media report on Wednesday, the Kansas Highway Patrol posted that they stopped a vehicle for speeding in the I-70 construction zone near Junction City in Geary County. According to the ticket posted on social media, the vehicle was a 2022 KIA. The car was traveling 100 miles per hour in a 60 miles per hour zone in the construction zone.

The driver was ticketed for exceeding the maximum speed limits and driving in the left lane in a no-passing zone.

The ticket was for $948.00.

Along with the KHP, the Junction City Police Department and Geary County Sheriff's Office posted safety reminders as well. The JCPD posted, "Please slow down, follow posted signs, and never pass in no-passing areas."
