The City of Manhattan said that starting Wednesday, the Kansas Department of Transportation - Northeast Kansas will fully activate new temporary signals at the intersection of Marlatt Avenue and Seth Child Road/K-113. The signals were installed last week and put into “red flash” mode.The signals will remain in place for the duration of the KDOT project to construct two new roundabouts on U.S. 24, north of Manhattan.
Marlatt will experience heavier traffic than normal during this construction as a result of detours. Drive carefully in this area, and always obey all detours and signals!
