Zone C of Milford Lake and the Gathering Pond remain under a blue green algae warning from the Kansas Department of Health & Environment this week. Zone C is the north end of the reservoir while the Gathering Pond is located below the Milford Lake Dam.
The Corps of Engineers provided the information. They also reported a current lake elevation of 1146.27, which is 1.87 feet above normal. Current lake inflow totals 516 cubic feet per second while the release is 800 cubic feet per second. The plan is to increase the pool level to 1145.40, which is one feet over normal and maintain that level.
