Beginning June 1, 2026, the City of Manhattan will temporarily suspend hourly parking rates at the Aggieville Parking Garage to help support business access and visitor convenience during the upcoming Moro Street reconstruction project.

At their April 21 meeting, City Commissioners unanimously approved changes to parking operations in the garage, including the removal of hourly fees, ParkMobile registration, and nose-in parking requirements. A new 48-hour parking time limit will also be put in place.

In addition, the City will begin repainting parking spaces in the garage to improve usability. Plans include wider, 90-degree stalls on the way up the garage and angled stalls on the way down, making parking and exiting easier for customers.

These changes are expected to remain in place while construction on Moro Street is underway, likely through 2027 or 2028. Once construction is substantially complete, the City plans to bring forward a broader parking plan for the Aggieville business district, nearby neighborhoods, and City Park for the City Commission review.

These updates apply only to the Aggieville Parking Garage. Parking rules, regulations, and rates at the Downtown Parking Garage will remain unchanged.
