Donna Mae Tankersley, 87, of Hutchinson, died June 20, 2022, at Sunshine Meadows in Buhler. She was born August 26, 1934, in Wichita, to Elwood “Dick” and Floy (Williams) Dague.
Donna graduated from high school in Wichita. She worked as a bookkeeper for over 60 years, 20 of those years being with Bogue Iron in Wichita. Over the years, Donna lived in Wichita, Hutchinson, Manhattan, and Anchorage, Alaska. She enjoyed boating and was a talented water skier and she enjoyed playing blackjack.
She was married to Donald Gene Tankersley, for over 50 years before his passing on November 25, 2009.
Donna is survived by: her brother, Elwood “Dick” Dague Jr.; son, Scott Tankersley (Sandy), Hutchinson; daughter, Stacy Ayres (Tim), Hutchinson; grandchildren, Shawna Tankersley, Nikki Tankersley, Justin Tankersley (Angie), Wendy McBride (Josh) and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Don Tankersley; son, Steve Tankersley and sisters, Norma Pallet and Katy Smoot.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
