Officials with the North Central-Flint Hills Area Agency on Aging (NC-FH AAA) have announced the launch of “Sunflower Seed Gatherings”—a day of simulcasted seminars that will provide practical, easy-to-understand information for older Kansans, people living with disabilities and their caregivers.
Featured experts will address topics in pre-recorded presentations and will be available remotely to answer questions. Topics include Medicare, Durable Powers of Attorney and ways to best help people living with dementia and their caregivers.
The first event happens Tuesday, August 25 from 9:15 am to 2:30 pm at The Flint Hills Center, 401 Houston St., in Manhattan and at the Wamego Senior Center, 501 Ash St in Wamego.
